Offer a Program With Us
The Family Resource Centre offers a range of programming to support early childhood development. Our programs are reflective of the four pillars:
Early Learning – play-based learning opportunities where families interact with each other and have fun, such as art activities, dramatic play, sensory play, music, and movement.
Parent Education – non-judgmental and culturally inclusive opportunities for parents to learn about early childhood development, parenting skills, and child wellbeing.
Family Wellness – work alongside community partners to promote the health and wellness of all families, such as prenatal supports and immunizations clinics, and visiting professionals in fields such as occupational therapy, speech and language development, and nutrition.
Information and Referrals – provide accurate information to parents and link families to appropriate community-based support.
At the MWEYFRC, we provide our own programming while also partnering with community members and organizations as well as other professionals that may expand or enhance opportunities for play-based learning, parenting education, and/or family wellness.
Interested in offering a program?
If you are interested in offering a program at the Family Resource Centre, please read the following guidelines and information for partnering with the Family Resource Centre.
Guidelines for Family Resource Centre Programs
Programs should reflect one of the four pillars of the Family Resource Centre (early learning, parent education, family wellness, and information and referrals) as well as the guiding principles of the Family Resource Centre.
Programs should be relevant to families in and around Martensville and Warman with children ages 0-5. Programs designed to support single parent families, low-income families, new parents, Indigenous families, New Canadians, and families with differing abilities are encouraged.
Programs should be age appropriate and promote high levels of interaction between caregivers and their children.
All programs offered in partnership with the Family Resource Centre must be open to the public and free of charge.
Additionally:
Programs must be designed to provide information or an experience for families without promoting a business, product, or commercial enterprise
Fundraising is not permitted.
Programs need to be planned well in advance of their delivery date (i.e. 2-3 months ahead).
Individuals offering programming may be required to provide references and a satisfactory, current criminal record check including a vulnerable sector query.
